Hey Quazy,

The 68-75 T500 and the 76-77 GT500 don't have a seat latch. There's a loop of metal at the front of the seat pan that fits under a bolt assembly and a hook like tabs on the back that notch between a pair of bolts in the back.

Maybe you can post a picture of your T500 and where the seat latch goes? Could be you have an aftermarket seat or maybe a seat off something other than a T500?

Okay - you need the bolt and bushing deal that front half loop on the seat pan catches on. Parts 4-8 in the diagram:

It fits into those tabs on the frame that are at the same point as your oil fill cap. The bolt is an 8mm bolt. I think the cushions and spacer are discontinued by Suzuki. I'll measure one of mine to give you the dimensions and you might be able to find some stock bushings that will work. Or you can search ebay as they can be found when someone is parting out a T500.
