Hose, Air Cleaner, for 1970 T350

Post by mike1161 »

I've been having a really hard time tracking down the air hose (rubber boot) that goes from the carbs to the air cleaner for a T350 (1969 thru 1972 all use the same PN). The PN is 13881-18001, and no US dealers seem to have any in stock, and I haven't seen any on eBay.... Would anyone have any clue on how to get one of these? I'd really like to use this original part in my restoration, instead of pod filters. I looked at the similar part for the T500, and it appears a bit different. Any help would really be appreciated. :D

Call Paul Miller @ 860 828-1771
There is a good chance he has one.

Just noticed that Paul Miller listed the hose on eBay.

Wow, thanks! You're right - don't know how I missed seeing those.... Price is pretty steep, considering that they only sold for about $15 (per the parts explosion diagrams on some of the parts sites); but I guess that's how it goes. I'll probably end up getting one of these. Thanks again!

Have an original printed parts manual for the 1969 T350 that lists the prices.
Back in 1969 the hose cost $2.34
$15 was a much more recent price.

Worse yet, the petcock that now goes for around $300 was $7.53 in 1969

Pretty cool info! Not sure if I wanted to know that or not... :D My wife sometimes tells me I'm stuck in the 70's, when I make a reference to how much something used to cost way back when.... And, on the Cycle World road test of the '69 T350, it shows the MSRP of the bike to be $792, pretty neat.
By the way, since you have one of these, do you have any experience running pod filters instead of the stock airbox setup? (haven't searched the other forum areas yet for info on this, probably should do that first).

$2.34 in 1964 is around $14.75 in 2012 USD.

$46 for the petcock.
