Oil injection or sris problem

Post by smokin »

Hello did everyone have a good new years I got a gt750J with a working sris system, oil pump and carbs marks aligned, the problem is the left cylinder is burning clean (dry) but the center and right cylinder have more 2stroke oil on the plugs (wet) not gas "oil" wet sheen ,the left oil lines have been checked and working properly. Can this be a sris problem on the J model since they changed the design on the later gt, smokes more on the C and R cylinders and very little on the L.

8) Hi,what sort of use is the bike getting? are you just using it around town...this causes a build up of two stroke oil in the crankcases,you can drain by taking out the SRIS valves at the front of the motor.Another thing that can happen is the one way check valves in the oil line can fail,allowing oil to flow into the crankcase,even when the bikes not running !!That said I wouldn't worry to much about more smoke from any pipe,unless it gets really bad,then it could be a crankshaft oil seal issue,burning gear box oil,as well as two stroke !! My '76 A model used to smoke badly from the top left for months & hardly anything from the other 3 ! After a couple of very long runs at fairly high speeds,it now has switched to the top right side under load,climbing hills etc,but hardly anything out the back when cruising at freeway speeds,plugs burning a nice tan colour,bike performing nicely 8) 8)

Cheers,
Roger.

This could maybe be due to the 1st type recycle system that really loads up the center and right cylinder http://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_G ... /sr48.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
the older i get the faster i was

I do have the type 1 system wasn't sure if the sris system was the problem, had an idea it was but needed some input to be sure. I'll disconnect the system and see how it works. Thanks

After disabling the sris system and a little carb adjustments I took her out for a long ride all cylinders are smoking and burning evenly now. Thanks for the help.
