Honey could work... I used to put second-hand motor oil in the forks of my Nighthawk, but it was going through a litre a week... Don't know if that was in the honda manual...

For what model and year of machine ? If you are asking about an R/J/K/L or M T500 then that is what Suzuki recommends so would at least be a starting point eh ? I have most of the specifications posted on this page - just check the 'Specifications Index' for your specific model year.

I wonder?? I wonder if anyone has ever tried Marvel Mystery Oil. Like ATF, it has no viscosity rating, but it's pretty magic stuff. When I had my Maxima, I used a quart of it at every oil change, The engine stayed clean and the oil didn't coagulate like so many oils do. ( black glop on the filler cap)
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
