Never heard of that cartoon before either, must be stateside only?
Super Chicken was part of a half hour cartoon that also had George of the Jungle and Tom Slick. It was done by the same folks that did the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons and was only on for one year. I always thought the Jay Ward/Bill Scott cartoons were great as they had humor in them written for the adults as well as the kids.

Not much to see at the moment, just several 550s in different stages of disrepair. I've managed to get the first (K) model stripped and ready to shot blast and paint the frame and black bits, but due to home and work commitments, it's stalled for the present. I need to get rid of some other stuff so that I have room to work in the garage. The J will be the last to do, so that may end up in the garage roof (that'll be fun) while I get on with the K and then the M. The second K will be a donor for the J which is the one I really want to do and keep. (Are you all keeping up so far?!?)
It's this bloody work crap that stops me getting on with what I really want to do!
I'll start K update thread with before/during/after pics when I get chance to get my arse in gear. I want this running for next summer.

Thanks for the interest.
Alan

Not updated for ages, so here's a pic taken yesterday. Still plenty to do but moving along nicely. I had hoped to have the bike running by now, but every job made another two, if you know what I mean. Anyway, here's the progress so far.
I know the tank stripe should be green, but it was blue when I got it and I liked it, so there! Sod standard and sod bolt counters.

Not much progress lately due to holidays etc and getting stuff moved about in the garage and elsewhere, but here's a pic of the two in the garage. Lots to do on the black one, but this will be very non-standard when done. The green K will be fairly standard, unless I decide to fit the 4LS front end and get a spare set of tank/panels etc done Gold....

I'll start to update this a bit. Here's a couple to show progress.
Timing all done, some electrics still to fit but might try for a start later this month.
Carbs to de-clag first in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Alan H, did you fit Kenda's ? I have a new set waiting to be mounted on my 750. I'm waiting to lace new spokes. I ask, because your tires look nice. So does the rest.

They are Dunlop Arrowmax Streetsmart tyres. I always preferred Dunlops 'back in the day' so go the modern equivalents.
I put air in that I'd saved from the 1970s to keep the purists happy. (Yeh, right, honest I did!!)

Very cool Ron, if you care to share any pictures of your collection you could start a thread in the members bikes section, I'm sure others like myself would like to see all what you have.

Ron,

I'd like to share your wife (or rather, I wish mine had the same attitude! she's thinks any more than 2-3 is madness, so I am already lost :-)

Cheers and welcome,
Mike
