Re: GT550 LMNAB Needle Jet
found it posted some while ago from another member here who listed multiple part numbers vs what needle jet
He stated it was from paper parts manuals.
Other than this, I too am in the dark!

Re: GT550 LMNAB Needle Jet
That old topicSuzuki2stroke is me.
Somewhere I found another Kaw post were person tried to use 169 for 172 and had problems too but did not know why.
I shimmed mine up to 0.04" needed and shined light into carb needle jet a passage and looked like are hole was partly block.
I found new 172 O2s
I think 169 could work if you shimmed 0.020" versus the 0.040" and adjust clip up a notch
the 164 series for GT380 T250/ 26mm GT350 is sure needed.
if you have an older GT550 JK then I would run the available 192-P0 (stock called for O5 or O8)
the 174 for later GT550 (Better buy up those on ebay... I see some old post about p4 in a GT550B, but Suz records we find show P0. P4 was clearly used probably works OK Not sure if it was one with extra boost ports?
If you have a T500/GT500 T350/T305 that need 188 you can use a 159 series or get a new 188-08 and ream I used 159 just fine
GT750 early late Needle Jet. All I know my 75 needle jets are real nice inside, forget #, but think obsolete
Little bike with 20 or 22 mm tough to find

Re: GT550 LMNAB Needle Jet
Later GT550 Needle Jet 174 sereis...
172
Not sure where or how I got this mixed up
Well, 172 obsolete, yes 169 series stated replacement. Referenced from Jet Needle 169 will set in lower by 0.040" - 1 mm.But, Needle jet air hole will line up perfect. Shim needle jet (watch to make sure air hole not blocked partially) or drop needle jet a clip. This time I'll try the latter, change clip position one notch.
If you can't find 172 good for you, But, you're probably are just fine running the 169. Lucky!

Re: GT550 LMNAB Needle Jet
the eBay item proved to be 192 series not 172 (needed for 77 GT550). I know I bought some and had to return. I was going to dispute for shipping refund too but guy promised he would add the information stating series and he did.
I asked him twice before i bought and he did not want to take the time to check for he said was too busy and get asked such thing "6 times a day", Not sure why part number says 77 gt550 something wrong mixed up
Well he canceled post my transaction and thus no feedback But I do think he will be more forth coming
Funny he has sold a lot of these?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-1977-GT5 ... f1&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have GT380 carbs bored from 24mm to 26mm and slides close all the way (had to fix that, machine done slide tube, for did not offset bore enough and slides would not close fully). I think I just need to up main jet same proportion and richen needle a clip and run on my GT380....
f I use my GT550 carbs instead on Gt380 I think I will put the 169 series needle jet. My 172s are too rough for my liking.
169 if not shimmed will set lower by 0.040' but all one needs to do is drop needle a clip So the hood of needle jet little lower I am sure/hope that will tune out ok.
Shinny new needle jets.
