Hi All,
Just joined the Forum.
I have recently bought a T500 that was successfully raced back in the past. The last seven years have not been kind to it though.
Apparently it was originally built by Coleman's in New Zealand to TR specs in the 70's. The frame is modified and has a GT750 front end complete with 4LS brake. Swing arm T350?? Has a spare set of squish heads. Unfortunately when I stripped the engine down the pistons (new OEM) appear to be the wrong size. My measurements put them 1mm under size! It must of clattered like hell.
Crank is good and the rest is just a matter of working through.
I hope to have it up and running for the Barry Sheene Festival in New Zealand in Oct 2015.
When I figure out how to post some pics I will do so.
Cheers

An ex Coleman TR replica would be an interesting bike for sure. Lots of good crisp pictures would be nice for those of that are better with pictures than words
Hi, Not much history available at the moment. A previous owner has heaps of info but is currently offshore for a few months. I had a brief conversation with him before he left. His comments were; "It is very quick, vibrates a lot, runs wide wide on corners and difficult to ride fast!" Sounds like a challenge...Having said that I note he managed a good second place at Phillip Island a while back.
I will try and sort some pics. The ones I have are too large to post. I am a bit challenged with this IT stuff.
