Front Fender / Forks

Post by Coyote »

Never have figured out why one fender mounting hole goes all the way through the left fork while the other 3 are blind. I could understand if something else mounted to that through hole bolt. but there is nothing. Is this because the speedo cable guide once mounted there or something? Anyone know the reason? (GT550)
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

On the 750 they have been that way since the hybrid K model forks with lugs for disk or drum brakes and I can see no parts there either. I thought maybe there would be a brake hose bracket or cable guide but nothing on the left side from bolt that I could see.

What there is though is a weldnut on the inside face of the hose bracket and I suspect that it was easier to assemble that way.
