Title says everything.
Located in southwestern PA. Its free but you pay the cost to get/ship it.

Its on a 72 GT550 that is in the work queue for a cafe build.
Am starting to collect parts & strip the bike.

That really is fugly!
The gold 550J is the nicest coloured 550 though, I had one back in '72 and hopefully start another rebuild on one next year.

Agreed. I like the gold on the GT550J & its the coolest looking stock GT550.

The Jemco 3-into-1 exhaust adds a bit more to the coolness & I’m happy with how it turned out on the GT750.
Likely will shorten the front fender & eliminate the stays.
Currently undecided on the look of the rear fender & seat area.
Also undecided on the fork gaiters.

I expect ZERO interest in the fairing — the clock is ticking on its demise via a sledge hammer.

What's wrong with that fairing? It looks like every Harley on the road.......

Lane
If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Baby sick beige — don’t think I’ve heard that expression before.
But that reminds me of one that I’m familiar with.
Here in the states we are soon to celebrate a holiday that traditionally involves a dinner ending with baby sh*t pie. (for the inexperienced, pumpkin pie)

Its yellow.
Here is a pic with the fairing removed.
For comparison, it looks like the headlight bucket & ears are the original aztec gold.

There's a set of exhausts for it. Note the price!!!
Gawd knows what the postage would be as they weigh as much as a small planet.

I tried some pumpkin soup in Australia a few years ago, and that wasn't good either.
I'd sooner have a bacon sandwich anyway.

Wow, that exhaust is pricey!

My current thoughts:
Jemco 3-into-1 exhaust in nickel finish (same finish as on my gray GT750)
gold aztec color
same seat/fender as RedZone
stock headlight bucket & ears
front fender cut down & painted gold aztec (I have a cut-down eBay fender so I won’t be cutting the original)
K&N angled pod filters (the angled filters clear the oil pump)
stock foot pegs & handle bar like RedZone (I’m not 25 anymore)

black XS650 rims from MikesXS
Thinking about 2.15x18 front & maybe 2.50x18 rear
Avon RoadRiders (undecided on widths)

Here is a pic of a GT550 cafe with the Jemcos in black.
The mini speedo+tach looks interesting.

My current thoughts:
Jemco 3-into-1 exhaust in nickel finish (same finish as on my gray GT750) I had mine ceramic coated. hard wearing and looks good. Not expensive either.
gold aztec color Excellent choice!
same seat/fender as RedZone OK
stock headlight bucket & ears OK
front fender cut down & painted gold aztec (I have a cut-down eBay fender so I won’t be cutting the original) Not practical here - it rains too much!
K&N angled pod filters (the angled filters clear the oil pump) Personally I hate pod filters, but it's your bike, so it must be OK!
stock foot pegs & handle bar like RedZone (I’m not 25 anymore) My peg choice too, with flat bars.

black XS650 rims from MikesXS
Thinking about 2.15x18 front & maybe 2.50x18 rear Remember that going from 19 to 18 front affects the speedo so that it will read fast.
Avon RoadRiders (undecided on widths) I've fitted Dunlop Streetsmarts. 3.25 x 19 front and 4.00 x 19 rear on the K and 100.90 x 19 F with 120/90 x 18 rear on the A with the GS550 wheels. But I always fitted Dunlops 'back in the day'.

Here is a pic of a GT550 cafe with the Jemcos in black. Nice
The mini speedo+tach looks interesting. I thought about one of THESE originally, but decided to stick to standard as less hassle.

The GT550 cafe in the pic has a mechanical speedo. (You can see the speedo cable in some of the other pics.)
There is no tach cable. So it either has a digital tach or a non-functioning mechanical tach.

The speedo drive is built into the 4LS brake panel.
There are digital signal generators that connect the same as the original speedo cables.
A matched set of gauges with a mechanical tach & digital speedo probably would be the easiest solution that corrects for a smaller front wheel.
But I don’t know if anyone makes a matched set like that.

A RoadRider 3.25x19 has an OD of 664 mm.
A RoadRider 100/90x18 has an OD of 642 mm.
That’s only a 3.3% difference.
That’s not much of an error given the accuracy of the original Suzuki gauges.

The fairing is stored out of the way in a friend's garage rafters.
I had figured he would use the fairing for target practice, but he still has it.
