gt750 forks on t500

I want to change the front forks on my 74 t500 to gt750 forks with dual discs. I have read all the previous posts on this subject but still am unsure of a few things. I have gt750 yokes(triple trees) which I believe are 1974. I have a gt750 wheel, calipers, rotors, axle, and speedo drive. So far I have been unable to find a good set of gt750 tubes. Searching ebay, I have seen several sets of decent gs550, gs650, and gs750 tubes and lowers(sliders). I have also seen several sets of gt750 legs with usable lowers and junk tubes. So what I would like to know is the following:

1)Will the 35mm gs tubes interchange with gt750 tubes? In other words can gs lowers be used on gt750 tubes and vice versa?
2)What are the comparative length of all these forks? (t500, gt750, gs550, gs650, and gs750)
3)If I use gs lowers with the gt750 calipers, will I be able to use gt750 rotors or will I need gs rotors?
4)Will the gt750 speedometer drive work with the t500 speedometer?
5)Will the gt750 axle work with gs lowers?

I could buy a new set of tubes from Franks. They are pricey($320), but on the plus side I can have the made to a different length.

I am attempting to avoid purchasing parts I won't be able to use. I already have enough junk.

DO NOT BUY TUBES FROM FRANK'S. They rust quickly and Frank's will tell you that their tubes are really not for actual use, only for display bikes. JeffG had that experience.

I bought new GT750 fork tubes from these guys (see link). They are fine so far.

That was not my experience Lane - after three years the tubes Franks made for the GT500 still looked new before I sold it - although it is a semi-desert climate here. I've also bought several sets of the Cruzinimage tubes - no issues so far. They used to sell the tubes for the 1972/1973 models also, and they were fine also. The FFTP tubes are made by Tarozzi in Italy (Wemoto also sells them in the UK). I'm told that the quality has improved considerably in the past few years. Note they only list for 1973 and up, but the 1972 and 1973 GT750 tubes/stanchions are the same Suzuki part number (51111-31030) .
