T500 giving up! F/S

Morning Gents
My 74 T500 is killing me! Just finished outer crank seals put it back together ran good before that
Carb boots new, everything nice oil lines redone checked points,timing spot on. 11/2 turns on air screw.
Went to start it revved up very high checked carbs found the adjusters for the slides were holding the slides open. Turned them down did best to synchronize them,started up will not idle adjusters cranked in,took it for a ride not pretty! Going give one more shot then 1974 T500 for sale many new parts.

Have you fitted the slides in the correct carbs?
They can fit in the opposite carbs if you're not careful. Slide cutaway towards the airbox.

That was it! Did same thing on my RD400 Boy do I feel dumb flipped them around and she runs great!
Wish my oil line would be as easy left side perfect right not so much got new band joe valves going try them can air crossover to from right to left via oil pump body?
