Yeah, the owner is a pal of Dave Hamilton, the lunatic with the H2 go-cart. They live in the Charlotte, NC area (Dave is in Mooresville), and always show up with cool projects.

Workin on it Dave, I'll post pictures soon... shhh...
I did take out the original swingarm and swap it with a Tl1000R swinger that I had machined to fit. I have it mocked up and actually looks like everything will fit although routing the chambers will be a problem. Cross that bridge when I get there...

I guess I'm old fashoned (or just old).........
But older bikes that had twin shocks just look "wrong" monoshocked, or with upside down forks.
I know "to each their own", and I'm not putting down anyone that does it, or the quality of work, it just doesn't look right to me.........

The new usd forks and the meaty tires make the older bikes look more muscular to me. To me it's no different than the reed modifications to the engine. It enhances what's already there.
I liken them to cars in that it's almost like the street rods with the new suspension and wheels. Or maybe the muscle cars that are restomodded.
The cafe style bikes are like the '50s era customs.
And the stock bikes are the vintage classics.
They're all very cool in their own right. I see things I like in most all of them.
John, are you going to monoshock, or twin? By the way, where are the photos?
