This is what has been done so far. This bike sat for years and has been drained everything and replenished. New battery.
1. Cleaned and rebuilt carbs.
2. Replaced condensers.
3. Replaced coils.
4. Set timing with that strobie light thingy.
5. Replaced spark plugs.
Things that I noticed occurring:
The left side smokes a bit when you first kick it but that’s it. Sounds really good. The bike starts on like the first or second kick, which it never did before.
On the right side, there is air coming out the pipe but nothing else, I took out the spark plug and it is wet (smells like gas/oil). One thing I did notice is that between my cylinder head and cylinder there seemed to be a small amount of gas oil mix (?) I can’t say for sure if it came out the head or not but thought I would offer this up.
The coils have been crossed over to see if it was electrical and the right side still would not fire off. Left side fires up great!
So, do I need to go back to carbs? Or timing? Or could a bad gasket cause this?
I'm new to this mechanical stuff so please act like your talking to a 10yr old. I have know idea how to do a compression test but I can say that if you put your hand over the ends of booth pipes, both blow your hand off. (off the pipe, I still have both hands
