The only changes on this 73 are maybe braided brake lines, aftermarket shocks, aluminum rims. All else pretty much stock. I would like to go with the European gold color thought. I do also plan to match the ports and and remove all the slag.tz375 wrote:That's looking good.
Any plans for bodywork upgrades or suspension changes while it's apart?

Eric,
When I run computer simulations, it clearly shows that a JKL makes more bottom end than an MAB so I tried that early intake timing with later exhaust timing as well as with some pretty radical ports, and it comes back the same. It always props up the powerband below 5k and hurts slightly above 5K.
I can get all the port time are I want on the intake with a slight clean up and widening without dropping the floor or cutting the skirt.
But that's 100% theoretical. I just thought I'd pass that along for what it's worth.

Couple of more things done over the weekend. Some zinc plating of bolts and the oil tank base mount.

Oil tank cleaned and installed.

Battery box painted with with freshly zinc plated bolts and washers.

Battery box harness plate repainted and awaiting repaired harness. Had some bare wires in the harness that fried my rectifier and battery.

'Preciate the that. Just doing a mild cleanup as I really like it stock. But you can sure see where it needs some attention for better flow.tz375 wrote:Eric,

Well just me up with DiamondJ and got two swingers to try on the Buff. Hope one of them is what I will like. If so then off to durgam to get some final mods done before it is installed.
